What does it mean to be a member of the AEDC Small Business Lending Center?
It means you're part of an organization that has, for over 30 years, played an intregal rolein business development on the North Coast. Many of the businesses that have become part of the culture of the region -- businesses like Cypress Grove Chevre, Los Bagels and Jessecurl -- have worked with AEDC Small Business Lending Center.
Active Members
Active members are representatives from government or economic development and community organizations, financial institutions and businesses that play a role in helping to develop programs, policies and events that help build strong communities.
Benefits:
- Eligible to vote for the AEDC Board of Directors
- Listed on AEDC Web Site
- Receive newsletters and Invitations to AEDC events
- Receive discounts to AEDC events when applicable
Participation
- Serve on the board or on a committee, or must serve an on-gong active volutneer role with AEDC, approved by the Program Committee
- Complete the annual membership renewal application to continue into the next year
- An AEDC Active Member is expected to vote in the AEDC Board of Directors Election
Associate Members
Associate members are representatives from government or economic development and community organizations, financial institutions and businesses that provide financial support to the innovative programs being offered by AEDC. Each year, the AEDC Program Committee will select a program to select a program to receive the funding from Associate Member dues. In FY2010 Associate Member dues support the Prosperity IDA Scholarship, providing scholarship funds, plus business and financial training for low-moderate income entrepreneurs.

- Support an AEDC Program selected at the beginning of each fiscal year
Participation:
- Make an annual donation of $50 that will be used to support an AEDC Program
- Complete an annual renewal application with donation to continue to the next year
Committee choices include Loan Committee, Finance Committee and Program Committee. The Loan committee meets monthly, Program committee meets bimonthly or as needed and the Finance committee meets quarterly. For descriptions of the committee charters, click here.
Members receive the quarterly AEDC News and occasional mailings on events of interest.
