April 2009 : Junior Achievement Comes to Humboldt County.

JA, the worlds largest organization dedicated to educating students about entrepreneurship, workforce readiness and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs is beginning in April in Humboldt County. The pilot project, a partnership between AEDC, Economic Fuel and the North Coast SBDC is starting with two after-school programs: one at Fortuna Middle School and another at McKinleyville Middle School.
The classes are taught by local business leaders who volunteer for the program. We are fortunate to have some great volunteers from our community. Check them out:
